Clarence
Carnes (The Choctaw Kid)
The Choctaw Kid was two years older
than Whitey, but when Whitey arrived at "the Rock" in 1959, the Kid had
already been there for about 14 years. After Whitey got out (of
Leavenworth) in 1965 he murdered his way to the top of the rackets in
Boston, but the Choctaw Kid was always a bleep-up. In 1988 he was back
in prison when he died of AIDS.
Whitey, by now a millionaire from his cocaine dealing, decided that the
Kid should be buried, not in some forgotten prison cemetery, but back
home in Indian Country. So he called a funeral director named Robert
Embry and asked him to make the arrangements.
