Edward (Ted)
Harrington
|
Former federal prosecutor to whom hitman Joe Barboza dedicated his 1976
autobiography. Appointed to his judgeship by President Ronald Reagan, he
was the subject of great controversy in 2002 when he wrote a letter to
his fellow judge Joe Tauro asking him to impose a lenient sentence on
mobster/FBI agent John “Zip” Connolly, who is now awaiting trial in
Florida on murder charges. After an outcry, Harrington withdrew the
letter and apologized. |
