Franny was a former mailman who became a top State House aide to Billy,
and also played tin whistle in Billy’s band, the Irish Volunteers. Took
a buyout in 2004: he got $72,000 for 38 unused weeks of sick time, an
$80,000 bonus, and a retroactive $24,000 pay hike, which set him up for
a $75,000-a-year lifetime pension. |
