Jimmy Martorano - the Ivy League Years.
Jimmy was the first member of the Winter Hill gang ratted out by Whitey
and Stevie, in the Peter Pallotta case. After Whitey tipped the feds to
Jimmy’s alibi witness, he was convicted and sent away. Later Stevie
shrugged about what they’d done: “Jimmy does good time,” he explained
nonchalantly.

Seven years later-Jimmy Martorano, the disco
years. Jimmy had an apartment on Commercial Street that he
shared with John Callahan, the World Jai Alai exec his brother would
later murder. All of them – Jimmy, Callahan, Brian Halloran – hung out
at the Rusty Scupper.

The
Martoranos, Johnny and Jimmy, were born 11 months apart, and they were
in the same class at Milton High. Can you spot them in this photo? Hint:
top row. If you guessed that Johnny, with the ducktail, is fourth from
the left, you're right. Jimmy is sixth from the right, with one poor guy
between them.
