The third, and
youngest Flemmi brother and the only non-serial killer among the three
of them. He is, however, just as crooked. Despite his brothers' deep
gangland ties, he was somehow able to find a job on the Boston Police
Department; his bullet-proof vest ended up on the Valhalla, the ship
that Whitey Bulger was trying to use to get guns to the Irish Republican
Army. After Stevie was incarcerated in 1995, the BPD crime-scene
photographer got involved in such matters as moving the gang's arsenal.
His nephew turned against him after he realized his father, Stevie, had
murdered his half-sister, Deborah Hussey. Michael Flemmi told him to
forget about it, that his dad was worth "millions." Instead, he went to
the feds, and testified Michael into prison. Michael is now 68, and
serving at the federal medical "prison" in Coleman, FL. |

According to the
Bureau of Prisons website, Mike's release date is currently scheduled
for 9-5-2011, but he may get a break if Stevie provides good testimony
in upcoming trials, including that of Zip Connolly, who will face a jury
in Miami next winter for his alleged role in the murder of World Jai
Alai executive John Callahan.
