Robert Wilson, DOB 10-16-40. Boston hoodlum associated (according to the
back of this mugshot, with “So. Boston group” and also “asso. Robichaud,”
the thug who escaped from ACI Cranston and was found shot to death in
Somerville in 1971. Wilson was tried in 1973 for the jailhouse murder of
Albert DeSalvo, the Boston Strangler, so-called. The jury could not
reach a verdict. In 1977 in Tampa FL he was sentenced to 15 years in
prison for selling stolen paintings. According to the Bureau of Prisons
website his number was 31138-120 and he was released on July 9, 1982.
