Lessons of the Underworld
Warning: Sticking up Mafia dice/card games may be hazardous to your
health
Rocco DiSeglio was yet another
prizefighter who decided to go into the rackets. In 1965, the FBI got
word of a gang that was hitting Mafia dice and card games in Boston.
Gerry Angiulo was not amused. Read the initial FBI report.
Rocco DiSeglio got three in the hat. His wife’s burgundy Thunderbird
would never be the same. Soon, though, Barboza flipped, and he
identified DiSeglio’s killers for the cops, and in 1968 they were
arrested and charged with murder.
