Russell Nicholson, charter member of the Winter Hill gang and a crooked MDC (Metropolitan District Commission) cop. Believed to be the wheelman on the Bernie McLaughlin hit, October 1961. Fired by the MDC police shortly thereafter. Kidnapped off the street by the McLaughlins in 1964 and slain. A rare Yankee – a New England-born white Anglo-Saxon Protestant – in the rackets.
