Tommy King

King belonged to the Mullens gang. They battled Whitey and his boss
Donnie Killeen, until Whitey murdered Killeen and took over Southie with
the help of the Winter Hill Gang. Having no choice, King tried to get
along. He even helped Whitey murder his old boss, Paul McGonagle, whose
car was found floating off a pier in Charlestown (the better to increase
suspicion on Charlestown gangsters). It took 25 years, but after Kevin
Weeks flipped in late 1999, McGonigle’s body finally turned up…. |
